I've got so many new handmade dolls & crafts and e-patterns to roll out that it will take me a little while to add them all to my websites and blogs. After all, it took me two years to create and design them all. And, I'm finally ready to show them all to you. And, yes, as promised some of the new e-patterns will be FREE.

Pictured are two of the new dolls that I'm going to release this week - just in time for Fall. I hope you're as excited about my new dolls and e-patterns as I am.

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it........ There's that Pointer Sisters song again......

My BRAND NEW Linda Walsh Originals Dolls Website

I have the BEST news to tell everyone. I have a BRAND NEW Linda Walsh Originals Dolls - Handmade Dolls & Crafts website at http://lindawalshoriginalsdolls.net/ .

It was created by Annie Kelly of "In A Pickle Webdesign" and I and is being "hosted" by her. In fact, this is the second website that Annie and I have designed and that is being hosted by her. My first was Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns and I am so happy with that website that when it came time for this new website I didn't hesitate for a second in choosing Annie. You see, Annie is the BEST when it comes to customer service. She is also someone I proudly call my "friend."

My BRAND NEW website is filled to the brim with all my handmade dolls & crafts and the "dollies" and I couldn't be happier. Actually since the "dollie's" are thrilled - I'm happy. You see, I have to keep 1,496 "dollies" happy or else there is chaos at the Walsh residence. And, we can't have that!

In fact, we've added a few more dolls to the new website that haven't previously been seen before on our other Linda Walsh Originals Dolls website. They, of course, are proud as peacocks and are over at "The Dollie Storage Room" strutting about. I can't wait to hear what the other "dollies" have to say about all their strutting. My opinion is, "Let them have their 15 minutes of fame. It can't hurt anyone. Right?"

Then again, we're talking about "dollie's." They have their own set of rules for what is and what isn't proper "dollie" behavior. There will be more about that in a future post. In the meantime, I hope you get a chance to visit our BRAND NEW Linda Walsh Originals Dolls - Handmade Dolls & Crafts website. The "dollies" and I would love to hear any comments you might have.

Articles contained within the e-pamphlets are the exact contents of the articles in our blog except they do not contain the 3 ***'s that were necessary for the html code to be displayed on our blog. So, you can copy/paste the code from the pamphlets and just add your own information. There are no 3 ***'s in the html coding that you need to remove here. So, you can save the .pdf instant download e-pamphlets to your computer and when you need them you just open them up in Adobe Acrobat and copy/paste the code you want and change whatever information you need to change for your website or blog.

Just click on E-Pamphlets in the left hand menu and you'll be brought to the E-Pamphlets page that all 4 of the "instant Download E-Pamphlets" are on. You can then add all four to your shopping cart and then proceed to our PayPal checkout. Once you have paid you will be sent an email containing the download links.

Or, you can go to our Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website and sign into your account and then download your .PDF e-pamphlets. Just go to LindaWalshOriginalsEPatterns.com and LOGIN (top left screen). Click on the YOUR ACCOUNT link and then click on your ORDER HISTORY. While in your Order History Screen, Click on VIEW to view the order in question. If the order is in the PROCESSING status, you will find the DOWNLOAD HERE link to your E-Pamphlet in the Order Summary area of the next page. Click on DOWNLOAD HERE and your E-Pamphlet download link will be displayed. Then all you have to do is copy/paste the download link into your browser window.

About Linda Walsh Originals!

Hello! My name is Linda Walsh and I am a doll maker and doll pattern designer and you are reading one of my many, many one of my blogs.

I thought you might like to see a picture of who I am, but as you can tell from the picture above I always have to be different. Now, I know what you're going to say. You're going to tell me that that isn't a picture of you, Linda!

Well, you're right! It's a picture of "The Little Victorian Girl" that has become my Linda Walsh Originals mascot and logo.

So, why am I showing that as a picture representing me? For a really good reason - SURVIVAL!!!!!!

You see, I live in a house filled with over 1,496 handmade dolls and, they rule everything. Albeit, I created all of them and they aren't human. But, that doesn't matter to them. They out vote me just by sheer numbers.

So, to keep peace in "The Dollie Storage Room", which is where they live - over the garage, I had to make the picture that represents all of us "The Little Victorian Girl."

We, that is, all the dolls and I, are the owners of Linda Walsh Originals which sells "Doll Patterns For Grown-up Girls!", Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns which sells "Instant Download E-Patterns For Grown-up Girls!", Linda Walsh Originals Dolls which sells "Handmade Dolls & Crafts For Grown-up Girls!", and my BRAND NEW Linda Walsh Originals Dolls - Handmade Dolls & Crafts Website.

The "dollie's" and I also write a monthly column called "Tips From The Blogging Queen" for the Faithful Friends Online Monthly Newsletter .

We also have a monthly sewing club entitled "Linda's Twelve Months of Sewing Club" that offers everyone who is a member a chance to get some of my Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns at a discount. It's twelve months of sewing. Twelve months of buy featured "Instant Download E-Pattern" and get a FREE* E-Pattern (*of equal or lessor value) emailed to you. What could be better than that? If you'd like to know more please visit our "Linda's Twelve Months of Sewing Club" blog.

And, we have two bookstores - one all about dolls called Linda's Amazon Associates Store for Books on Dolls and Doll Making and the other all about crafts called Linda's Amazon Associates Store for Books About Crafts and Crafting. They're filled to the brim with books. So, if you love books, dolls, and crafts you're going to love our bookstores.

Plus, we have a wonderful blog to go with our bookstores called "The Book Review Corner." I have an extensive collection of books on dolls and crafts that I have acquired over the years and thought it would be fun to review some of the books in my collections, as well as other books concerning dolls and crafts. It's a great blog to visit.

If all that isn't enough we also have "a zillion blogs"which we also write for. Needless to say we do a lot of writing. Our blogs are as follows:

Linda's Blog DOLLS BLOG by Linda Walsh Originals Linda's 12 Months of Sewing Blog Instant Download E-Patterns Blog I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs Tips For Crafters On The Web Blog Testing The Blogs Series and Helpful Blog Tips Blog The Best FREE Craft Articles The Book Review Corner Tips From The Blogging Queen and Linda's FREE Articles Blog

We actually have seven other blogs, but, you get the idea. We do have a "zillion" blogs.

Why so many, you might wonder? Well, the dolls just love to see their names in print.

We also have two other blogs which are actually plugboard blogs. They were created to help give the small business crafter on the web a place to plug their website for FREE. They are:
Dollie and Crafts Plugboard Crafting For All Plugboard

A lot of our blog readers asked if we would be converting our Linda's How-Do-I Series? Helpful Tips For Crafters With Websites and Blogs to .PDF versions and we decided to not only convert them into .PDF format for you , but to make them available as "Instant Download E-Pamphlets" as well.

So, our Linda's How-Do-I Series? Helpful Tips For Crafters With Websites and Blogs that we wrote for our "Tips For Crafters On The Web" blog is now available in four .PDF "Instant Download E-Pamphlets" on our Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website.

We also have a toplist entitled "Top Blogs By Crafters" that we started to showcase some of the best blogs by crafters on the Internet. You see, I like to do as much as a I can to help showcase "crafters" on the net.

Why?

For a couple of reasons.

First, the crafting community on the net is one of the best communities out there. Everyone is always so willing to help everyone else out.

Secondly, because I don't think the crafters on the net get the "respect" that they should from the mainstream Internet. So, wherever I can I try to promote all the crafters on the net.

And last but not least, I need something to write about in all those blogs besides "dolls" - don't I?

Linda's NEW "How-Do-I Series?"

I thought you all might like to know that I'm running a NEW "Linda's How-Do-I Series?" on my "Tips For Crafters On The Web" blog.

 Why a new series?

Well, I get asked a lot of the time "How do I do this?" or "What's the html code for that?" so I thought it would be better if I just posted the articles on my "Tips For Crafters On The Web"  blog then everyone could then see how to do it.

Plus, it will save me a lot of time as I can just reference the articles versus re-inventing the wheel and creating separate emails.

So, a little sharing and a little self preservation.

In any event, here's the articles I've posted so far:

Linda Walsh Originals Annual FANTASTIC DOUBLE Advertising Deal!

I've decided to offer a FANTASTIC DOUBLE DEAL on all the individual advertising on all my respective websites once a year - at the start of the year.

The DOUBLE DEAL is really FANTASTIC!

WHY?

Because it is a DOUBLE on the time period for the price of buying one period of time. For example, if you buy the button advertising on the top of my "Top Blogs By Crafters Toplist" for ONE year you would get TWO years for the price of ONE year.

Or, for example, if you buy the 3 months button advertising on the sidebar of my "The Dollie & Crafts Plugboard" then you would get it DOUBLED to 6 months and only pay the price for one 3 month period of time.

This applies to ALL of the individual advertising on all my respective websites with advertising on them. These include either the "Top Blogs by Crafters Toplist", the "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog, "The Best Free Craft Articles" blog, the "Testing The Blogs Series and Helpful Blog Tips" blog, the "Tips for Crafters On The Web" blog, the "Dollie & Crafts Plugboard", or the "Crafting For All Plugboard."

Our FANTASTIC DOUBLE DEAL will run from January 16th, 2007 until February 16th, 2007.

Is that FANTASTIC or what!

I sound like one of those car dealers or furniture store ads on TV don't I? LOL LOL

To Place An Order - Email us or go to our Linda Walsh Originals Advertising page and click on the PayPal “Add To Cart” button for the applicable plugboard or blog that you want and the sequential advertising period that you want.

BE SURE TO ENTER FANTASTICDOUBLE in the note field of the PayPal checkout so we know you want our FANTASTIC DOUBLE deal.

Once we have been notified by PayPal we will email you for your ad specifics. Please be sure to supply PayPal with a valid email address or we won’t be able to email you for the information that we need for the ad you have chosen.

If you prefer for us to PayPal invoice you then please Email us and we will do so. Just tell us which type of advertising that you want in the email for your FANTASTIC DOUBLE Deal.

New Linda and Nikis - The Book Review Corner

Sometimes great blogging and crafting minds do think alike, don't they?

What am I talking about?

Well, both Niki McNamara and I are not only bloggers, but we are crafters who have bought a ton of crafting books over the years. And, both of us have Amazon Associates Bookstores.

Well, believe it or not, but both of us thought at the same time that we should do book reviews on all the books we have bought over the years and tell you why we like them and why we bought them.

So, since great blogging and crafting minds do think alike we decided that we should create a "team" blog for both of our book reviews and call it "Linda and Niki's - The Book Review Corner" blog. Isn't that wonderful? We think it is.

So, what are we going to do with our NEW "Linda and Niki's - The Book Review Corner " blog?

Well, all sorts of things. We'll be reviewing our favorite books, of course, and might even throw in a few surprises for our readers. We might even show you pictures of some of the creations we've made from some of these books.

For the most part we will be reviewing books on dolls, doll making, crafts, craft making, quilts, quilt making, and all of the various sewing and crafting book subjects out there. It's a huge umbrella, but we have a lot of books and we just LOVE TO READ. Plus, I did mention we have a few surprises so our book review subjects won't always fall under our huge umbrella. We plan on having fun doing this and hope you will too.

Please come and see our NEW "Linda and Niki's - The Book Review Corner " blog. Bring a cup of tea so you can stay awhile.

Come See The Changes To My Blogs With Plugboards On Them!

It seems like everyone in the online crafting crafting community is getting a plugboard for their website or blog.

A what?

A Plugboard!

What's that?

Well, basically they are FREE remotely hosted boards that you can create using customized HTML code that allow users to add their advertising banner themselves onto the plugboard on your website or blog. Their banners remain on your plugboard until they are bumped off, in which case, they can return and plug their banner again. This creates traffic for your website as the users keep coming back to your website to see if their banner is still there.

Using plugboards is very, very easy. Users just need to enter two pieces of information into the two clickable boxes on the bottom of your plugboard. They enter their button or banner URL and website or blog URL and then click "PLUG". Their banner is then added to your plugboard.

Where can you get a plugboard? At Plug-Board.com

They are easy to use and can host 4 different size banners: 88x31, 88x15, 50x50, and 468x60. Most plugboards house 88x31 size banners. Each plugboard can hold 60 buttons. However, this can be adjusted so your plugboard can hold more or less buttons. You can change the "Buttons per row" and/or "Number of rows" of buttons in your settings. 10 buttons are archived at any point in time so if you need to delete a button then you won't have a blank hole in your plugboard.

Each plugboard can be easily customized and controlled through a simple easy to use control panel that you can access on the plugboard website. You can edit and control who uses your plugboard by deleting buttons you don't want, ban users IP's you don't like, and ban domains. There is also a "Flood control" feature that holds the specified seconds between plugging times to help prevent spammers. You can also set you account up so that you are email notified when someone plugs on your board. You can even decide what background color you'd like to use for your plugboard pr make it transparent.

After you establish an account and sign-in you will be brought to your "Posts" page where you will see all the banners on your plugboard. If this is a brand new plugboard they will all be blue in color with the text "Plug Your Site Here." You will also notice that there is a horizontal menu just above plug administration at the top of the page. The menu has the following options: Posts, Settings, Restrictions, HTML Code, Account, and Logout.

Each of these pages allows you to do different things to control your plugboard, which are as follows:

Posts - Here you can delete a banner, ban an IP address, ban a domain, and edit the IP of the button. The latter is useful if someone accidentally enters a URL or a website or banner with a typo and would like you to correct it.

Settings - On this page you can change your plugboards settings. You can change the background colour, disable posting, enter the number of seconds you want for flood control to prevent spammers, change the button size, change the number of buttons per row, change the number of rows, and edit your email notify.

Say for example you want to change your plugboard which uses 88x31 size banners from having 60 buttons set-up as 10 buttons per row and 6 rows to fit the sidebar of your blog. You would change the number of buttons per row to 2 and the number of rows to 30. If you want a really large plugboard on your website you might change the number of buttons per row to 8 and the number of rows to, say, 15 so your plugboard now holds 120 banners.

If you want to change the background field then just type the hex code without the # into the box or leave it blank for transparent.

If you don't want other people to post on your plugboard then click in the disable posting box and it will add a check mark there which will prevent users from posting their banner to your plugboard.

Flood control helps with spammers and contains the number of seconds you want to allow between plugs. Leave the flood control field blank to disable it.

If you want to be notified when someone adds their banner to your plugboard then check the E-mail box.

If you change anything in your settings then you need to click "Update" so your settings are changed.

Restrictions - On this page you are able to remove the ban on multiple IPs or URLs that you may have previously banned. Each row shows either an IP being blocked or a URL being blocked. To add an IP, enter the IP under "IP" and click Update. You do not have to enter a URL to ban an IP or vice versa.

HTML Code - This page contains the customized HTML or Alternate Javascript code you need to add to your website or blog based upon the settings you chose. All you need to do is to copy and paste the HTML code from the first box to wherever you would like your plugboard to be displayed. If you know HTML you can edit the code on your website. For example, the default for the plugboards is "center" alignment. You might want to change the code so the alignment is "left" or right" to better suit your website or blog.

I have found that the HTML code is the best code to use for most websites and blogs. There is an Alternative Javascript code in the second box. I have used this as well. However, I have found that when there is a problem with the plug-board.com website that the Javascript code tends to freeze the plugboard and not allow the rest of a blog to be displayed. If there is a problem on the Plug-board.com website the HTML code will leave the plugboard blank or show an error message.

Account - This page has your plugboard account information on it and it can be edited. Leave the password field blank if you do not want to change it.

Logout - For signing off your plugboard account.

Plugboards are a lot of fun and I should know. I have 8 of them. If you'd like to check out my plugboards they are as follows:

They Couldn't Be Luckier!

It's the start of a new year- Hip hip Horray! Hip hip horray!!

And, the members of my Twelve Months Of Sewing Club couldn't be luckier!

You see, they are in for a real treat in 2007.

I have so many surprises for them this year they will be amazed.

So, since it's the start of a brand new year and we are getting ready to sing "Auld Lang Syne" I decided that the first featured "instant e-pattern" for our Twelve Months Of Sewing Club members for 2007 should be LW129LWOEP "Baptist and His Smile."

Baptist and His Smile is the wildest primitive you’d ever want to meet. He’s a dare devil and just a little bit of a wild child. He has flaming red hair that sticks straight out of the sides and top of his head. “Baptist” has a cloth body, embroidered face with long smile, shirt, flannel jacket with buttons, and cuffed pantaloons with pockets. He has a fringed scarf tied around his neck. His cloth body and clothes are coffee-stained throughout.

Baptist and his sister LW130LWOEP "Jael Loves Her Smile" are a wonderful pair of siblings. They just love their smiles and each other. And, they do not like to be separated.

If you are a subscriber (i.e. member) to our Twelve Months Of Sewing Club and you buy the "Featured Instant Download E-Pattern" you will get a FREE Linda Walsh Originals E-Pattern* (*of equal or lessor value) emailed to you.

So, if you buy Baptist you can choose his sister Jael's e-pattern for FREE. What a great start to the New Year. A smiling pair of brother and sister primitive doll patterns. And, best of all for them, they don't have to be separated.

If you want to know what to do to become a subscriber and, therefore, member of our Twelve Months Of Sewing Club just go to our Twelve Months Of Sewing Club Blog. It tells you everything you need to know to join.

We hope you decide to join and hope you enjoy making Baptist and wish everyone a happy, healthy New Year.

Come on now, sing along......
Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear, f
or auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
And here's a hand, my trusty friend
And gie's a hand o' thine
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

Have a happy, healthy New Year.

I've Taken A BIG, BOLD & PROGRESSIVE Step!

I've taken a BIG, BOLD & PROGRESSIVE STEP!!

I've decide to eliminate my monthly Linda Walsh Originals newsletter in favor of my "Linda's Blog."

    It's a BOLD step.

    It's daring!

However, it's not a RASH decision.

I've been thinking about my newsletter in the context of my blogs for awhile and weighing the pro's and con's of having both.

All the experts tell you that in order to gain exposure with your customers you should do this and you should do that - one of which is to have a monthly newsletter. So I did and have been producing one for about a year now.

Well, in thinking about my newsletter I thought; "Wait a minute! I have my "Linda's Blog" which is filled with information on what's going on at Linda Walsh Originals and which I'm posting to if not every other day, then at least once a week. Why do I need to duplicate my efforts when I've got my blog?"

In fact, with all of my blogs there's plenty of opportunity to find out what's going on at my websites. Plenty of exposure.

And, I LOVE MY BLOGS! They are so easy to post to and are so versatile. Does it make any sense to continue to generate a newsletter which is really duplicate work? It's difficult to create and takes a lot of time. My blog posts are a snap to create and post to.

Plus, my customers and blog readers can SUBSCRIBE to my blogs. That way every time I post an article they can either get an email, add my blog to their feed readers, add my blog to their customized pages, etc. They have any multiple number of ways to see my blog posts. What could be better than that?

Why be redundant with a monthly newsletter which contains information that is already in my blogs? In fact, they don't even really have to subscribe - if they have my blog bookmarked they can just go to my blog when they want and read my articles. It's easier to subscribe as they'd be notified every time I posted an article, but it would be up to them.

So, I'm thinking if you have blogs, monthly newsletters are not necessary. Blogs are all you need.

It's a BOLD but LOGICAL step and a step in the right direction for the future.

Wait Until The Other Doll Pattern Designers See My New Website!

Sometimes you meet someone that is just plain exceptional. A year ago I met someone who is exceptional and her name is "Annie Kelly."

Of course, she's going to be embarrassed by this article and will probably want to strangle me.

That's the risk I'll have to run.

Annie, is always the first person in line to offer to help you with any problem, or anything. She's the first to volunteer, is always eager to help, and never asks for much in return. She always has great advice and is straight-forward, which I appreciate. And, she's always willing to listen.

Annie, like a lot of us - wears many hats. She is first and foremost a mother and a wife. She is also a business woman, programmer, doll maker, doll pattern designer, graphic artist, website designer, webmaster, and a slew of other things. And, like a lot of us, she has many websites.

I am a vendor on her Pattern-Central pattern website and have a shoppe on her FolkArt Square on-line marketplace. And, now I have a website designed by and hosted by her "In A Pickle Web Designs" website.

According to Annie, "Our goal here at In A Pickle Web Designs is to create a website that is fully functional and appealing for you and your customers!" She also offers website hosting at very competitive rates.

Annie also runs a doll pattern website called "Primitive Annies", runs on-line "craft shows", an annual doll challenge for charity, an on-line silent auction website, and a funky graphic design website called "Hokey Pokey Primitives."

Well, I was having a problem with my E-Patterns. I was, as you might say - "in a pickle" and Annie said she thought she could help me.

Well, she and her "In A Pickle Web Designs" and her Pattern-Central website certainly did.

You see, Pattern-Central has been selling e-patterns for a very long time and was recently upgraded to convert those e-patterns to "Instant Download E-Patterns" using a unique and very secure shopping cart feature.

In talking with Annie about my E-Patterns problem she suggested that she could develop a website to help me. I told her that my "ideal" solution would be a "mini" version of her Pattern-Central website that could handle all my "Instant Download E-Patterns." Something that was "me" and "only me." Something that my main website could LINK to for every one of my patterns while remaining transparent to my customers as a separate website.

So, Annie designed my BRAND NEW Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website to look like a page from my main Linda Walsh Originals website.

Moving from one to the other would be easy for my customers. My customers would be able to order multiple "instant download e-patterns" at the same time through one check-out process and receive one email with all the download links. And, the shopping cart on my new website would not interfere with the shopping cart I was using on my main website. So, I could retain the same primary email address at PayPal.

Plus, my customers could always sign into their new account on my Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website and download their e-pattern should they have a problem with the download. How great was that?

Also, I could link a particular "instant download e-pattern's" page to my blogs, newsletters, emails, etc.

If all that wasn't enough, my new website also had "mailing list" and "subscriber" capabilities, statistics, customer accounts, product categories, multiple page capabilities, and a whole lot more.

Annie also offers a blog, but I have more than enough of them so I declined that. YIKES!!! The "Blogging Queen" turned down a blog????

And, unlike my main website, which is best viewed in Internet Explorer, my new website has no problem being viewed by other browsers like Firefox. A bonus to boot.

So, my BRAND NEW - Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website was born. It was designed by Annie and "In A Pickle Web Designs" and is hosted with "In a Pickle Web Designs."

    I am thrilled!

Wait until all the other doll pattern designers see my new website!

For sure, I am going to be the envy of all the other doll pattern designers!

That's okay. I don't mind. If they want a website of their very own they can always call Annie at "In A Pickle Web Designs." I know she'd help them out, too.

    Life Is Good!

Do you ever have one of those days when you think to yourself, "Life Is Good!"

Well, I had one of those days yesterday.

Everything just seemed to fall into place and I was in a TERRIFIC mood.

I had just finished putting the final touches on my BRAND NEW WEBSITE - Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns (http://lindawalshoriginalsepatterns.com) when I got my FIRST order. How GREAT is that?

So, I thought I'd tell you about my BRAND NEW WEBSITE - Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website.

You might be wondering why I needed a new website.

Well, I am always looking for new and innovative ways to improve your E-Pattern shopping experience. So I decided to create a special website for you to easily buy and download all my "Instant Download E-Patterns."

A new website that would look like my main website, but provide the ability to handle multiple "Instant Download E-Patterns." One where I could provide a LINK for each doll pattern so you could buy the "Instant Download" E-Pattern" if you wanted to.

I am very excited by my new Linda Walsh Originals "Instant Download E-Pattern" website and hope you like it too.

On my new website you'll be able to buy ALL of my doll and craft patterns as "Instant Download E-Patterns" and be able to do so using a new "Instant Download E-Pattern" SHOPPING BASKET feature. That means that you can buy as many "Instant Download E-Patterns" as you want and just add them to your shopping basket. The shopping basket is always in the upper left hand corner of my new website so you can always see how many E-Patterns you are buying.

When you're ready to checkout you do it once. You don't have to buy each "Instant Download E-Pattern" individually anymore. And, with the shopping basket feature you'll receive one email that contains the download links for all the "Instant Download E-Patterns" that you have bought.

Plus, if for some reason you don't receive your email with your download links you can always return to my Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website. Just go to www.LindaWalshOriginalsEPatterns.com and LOGIN (top left screen). Click on the YOUR ACCOUNT link and then click on your ORDER HISTORY. While in your Order History Screen, Click on VIEW to view the order in question. If the order is in the PROCESSING status, you will find the DOWNLOAD HERE link to your E-Patterns in the Order Summary area of the next page. Click on DOWNLOAD HERE and your E-Pattern download link will be displayed. Then all you have to do is copy/paste the download link into your browser window.

    Isn't that wonderful?

    I think it is.

Of course, you can always still shop at my main Linda Walsh Originals website where I sell "Doll Patterns For Grown-up Girls!" On my main website you can buy all my doll patterns as PRINT patterns, buy all my E-Patterns and have them emailed to you by me as attachments, or buy my "Instant Download E-Patterns" via a LINK to my new Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website.

Plus, if you don't want to make the doll yourself and prefer one that is already handmade you can shop at my Linda Walsh Originals Dolls website where I sell "Handmade Dolls & Crafts For Grown-up Girls!"<BR.
I hope you get a chance to visit my new website and hope you like it, too. Maybe my TERRIFIC day will rub off on you and you'll have a "Life Is Good!" day, too. I certainly hope so.

Primitive Times Magazine and My "Dear Linda" Column

I'm so excited! I'm so excited! Here I go with "The Pointer Sisters" song, again.

    I'm so excited! I just can't hide it! Dah-dah-duh!!!!!

I can hardly wait to tell you this. It's just wonderful, wonderful news. Well, at least I think it is.

Come on now, you've got to be wondering what my news is? NO?

Aren't you even just a little curious? You are? Aren't you?

    I thought so.

Okay, Okay. I'll spit it out!

Well, my big news is that I am going to be an editor for the new Primitive Times Magazine and have a column on the new Primitive Times Magazine website called "Dear Linda."

As an editor some of my articles will be appearing in the .PDF downloadable version of their print magazine (i.e. e-Zine). Isn't that wonderful news?

The new Primitive Times Magazine is the brain child of Angela Wenke from Heartland Marketplace. Angie asked me to write a column and magazine articles for her. I'm extremely flattered that she asked me and I'm thrilled to be part of this new adventure and amongst such a gifted and distinguished group of crafters and editors.

I've written about Angie a few times on my "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog as Angie has a billion blogs like I do, except she has "little munchkins" and "Snow White's seven dwarfs" working for her. They wouldn't come to work for me. They said I was "too cheap!" Go figure!

In any event, Primitive Times Magazine is a brand new downloadable magazine with a brand new website. It's slogan and motto is "Primitive Times Magazine - Where Crafters Unite" and "Uniting Our Crafting Community One Crafter At A Time."

I just love that motto and slogan, don't you. Angie and I are one mind when it comes to "crafters helping other crafters on the internet." What helps one helps all of us.

So, what can I tell you about the new Primitive Times Magazine and Primitive Times Magazine website?

Well, they (or, maybe, I should say "we" as I'm now, officially, an editor) are an online Primitive and Craft Magazine hoping to offer you the best of the crafting community. I think, at least as of today, we have 10 editors from all different walks of life in the crafting community, which is fantastic all by itself!

Our Primitive Times Magazine website is still having the final touches applied to it, but you can check it out at http://primitivetimesmagazine.com/.

It will contain articles from a woman's point of view and all our archived articles. Our website will also be filled with all sorts of crafting, primitive, country, WAHM, and business information as well as columns and/or pages filled with articles and tips from all of our editors.

You will also be able to meet all the editors and learn a little bit about each of us and will be able to contact us all individually. Here's my "All About Linda" page. Check me out and while you're there check everyone else out, too!

We will also have all sorts of fun things, crafting tips, recipes, links, business information, advertising capabilities, a FREE plugboard, a banner exchange, a topsite, and a blog. That's just a start. There will be lots and lots of exciting and new avenues for us to pursue as we all get our thinking hats on.

Plus, if you are in need of some great advice on making your business grow, search engine submission, promoting your business, crafting suggestions, blogging, how-to do anything or everything, primitive ideas, the how's, what's, when's, or where's, etc. you can email us and we will try to answer your questions.

Our .PDF downloadable print version (i.e. e-Zine) is going to be a monthly e-Zine, hopefully, beginning with the November 2006 issue. Our online magazine is going to be filled with interesting articles from all different aspects of crafting. Something for everyone.

Whether it's crafting business tips, craft show information, how-to's, craft making, featured crafters, tutorials, doll making, primitive decorating, primitive business articles, primitive crafts, sewing tips, WAHM information and tips, decorating ideas, recipes, craft projects, blogs and blogging, pattern design, FREE patterns, craft specific areas like quilting, etc., we will have an article sure to interest everyone.

And, we're just starting out so the universe is our neighborhood.

Plus, and this should come as now surprise with Angie as the creator, Primitive Times Magazine will also have a Primitive Times Blog to support the magazine and website and for featuring advertisers, other blogs, spotlight businesses, and some of our own articles.

So, please stop in and take a look around our Primitive Times Magazine website. As I mentioned we'reis still fine-tuning the website. We don't have all the kinks, links and typo's worked out yet. So, if you find a mistake don't hold that against us. We aren't, officially, open yet.

We are all really excited about our new Primitive Times Magazine website and new Primitive Times Magazine. We hope you are too.

Don't forget to bookmark our Primitive Times Magazine website and be on the lookout for our November 2006 Primitive Times Magazine e-Zine.

    I'm so excited! I just can't hide it! Dah-dah-duh!!!!!

Come See The New Changes At Pattern-Central

I have fabulous news to tell you. Just fabulous.

Annie over at Pattern-Central has been very busy lately updating websites, starting on-line craft shows, gearing up for the annual FolkArt Square doll challenge, creating new websites, and a myriad of all things.

One of the things Annie has been working on is updating Pattern-Central which sells all kinds of patterns and where Linda Walsh Originals is a doll pattern vendor.

I have to tell you that the updated Pattern-Central website looks wonderful and Annie has done a terrific job with it. The main page is simplified and easy to navigate as are the vendor's pages.

You can select 5 different areas to browse from any page that you are on: The Pattern Place (which has the regular print patterns by category), Supply Station ( which has supplies and printables), Instant E-Patterns (which has Instant Download E-Patterns by category), FREE patterns (which are just that - FREE), and By Vendor (which is where all the vendors like "Linda Walsh Originals" is listed.) There is also a "Stitchery Club" and a shopping cart which is in the upper left hand corner of every page so you can always see what's in your shopping cart.

The best feature of the update is that all the e-patterns have now been converted to instant download e-patterns. So, all of my Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns at Pattern-Central are now "INSTANT DOWNLOAD E-PATTERNS." Plus, you can order several instant download e-patterns at the same time due to the shopping cart feature. Isn't that fabulous? I think it is.

Once payment is made through PayPal an email confirmation will be sent to your email address. This confirmation email will contain all the links that you need to download your e-patterns. For example, if you ordered 4 instant download e-patterns then your email will have 4 different links. One for each instant download e-pattern that you ordered.

According to Annie: "In order to get your patterns INSTANTLY after payment, you MUST CHOOSE the payment option of PayPal - INSTANT E PATTERN Payments at check out. Failure to use this check out option, will not grant you a download link via email to retrieve your patterns. (Your order would then be manually processed and you will need to wait for your e patterns to be mailed to you).

Due to the internet, and ISP providers and IPN time out sessions, it is possible that you may not receive your email notification right after payment is made. If you are in a rush for your instant patterns, simply return to Pattern Central's website and LOGIN (top left screen). Click on the YOUR ACCOUNT link and then check your order history. While in your Order History screen, view the order in question, and if the order is in PROCESSING Status, you will find the DOWNLOAD link to your e pattern in the order summary area of the page."

I just love the looks of the updated Pattern-Central website and my new Linda Walsh Originals vendor area. Plus, I just love the multiple instant download e-pattern ordering capability. It's terrific.

Plus, as Annie said if you don't get the email confirmation you can just log-in to your Pattern-Central account and download you e-patterns from there. That is just fabulous.

I hope you like the changes. I, of course, think they are "FABULOUS!"

    Even I Don't Believe This!

I know that you're probably shaking your heads right now thinking "The Blogging Queen" has really gone overboard this time!"

In fact, she's down right "nuts", "crazy", "has lost it", and "has no life outside of the computer and blogging."

Well, some of that is true and some of it isn't.

I "DO" spend a lot of time on the computer. Sometimes more than I'd like.

I know what you're going to say to that! "Linda, you wouldn't do it if you didn't really like it. Now would you?"

Well! No, I wouldn't. I love what I'm doing right now.

    But, yet another new blog?

    Well, "YES!"

But, I have a really good reason for this one and I hope you'll agree.

    Okay, let's hear the reason.

Well, for awhile now I have been wanting to supplement my "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog with FREE Craft Articles written by some of the wonderful crafters on the web. The problem was finding the time to do so.

There are just so many fine, talented, and wonderful small business crafters on the web. And, you know that I don't think we get the recognition that we all deserve on the web. So, I try to give as much FREE exposure to all the small business crafters that I can, when I can.

One of those ways was to start posting FREE articles written by other crafters in an attempt to gain even more exposure for their websites and blogs.

So, I thought that while I would be posting the FREE Craft Articles on my "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog anyway that I'd also set-up a new blog just to house those posts. That way the readers of the "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog who want to search through all the FREE Craft Articles can just click on the "The Best FREE Craft Articles" link and come over to this blog to view them.

So, my "The Best FREE Craft Articles" blog will be a supplement to my "I Love Crafts and Crafts Blogs" blog and will be filled with the best FREE articles written by crafters that I can find.

So, another new blog for the "Blogging Queen!" But, I had a really good reason. Didn't I?

I'd like to say that this will be the last new blog for me for awhile but I'm not sure I could keep that promise. I'm going to try as there are so many ideas floating around in my head right now for my Linda Walsh Originals and Linda Walsh Originals Dolls websites. My websites and dolls are beginning to feel like orphans compared to my blogs.

So, given that this will be my last blog for awhile ( Yeah! Sure!) I might as well tell you what it's about.

It's about "The Best FREE Craft Articles" I can find and I'm going to be on an active hunt for them. The subject matter for the article just has to be within the "crafts" parameters I have already set for my "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog. In other words, anything that's on the list below:

Since the topic "craft" encompasses such a vast terrain I thought I'd start by listing exactly what I mean. If you have written a FREE article on any of the following areas then we'd love to post it on our "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" blog: Accessories, Altered Art, Americana, Angels, Animal Crafts, Antiques, Apparel Making, Applique, Aromatherapy, Art, Baby Crafts, Baskets, Bath & Body Products (Homemade), Beadwork, Bears, Birds & Birdhouses, Bridal Crafts, Broom Crafts, Bunnies, Button Making, Cake Decorating, Calligraphy, Candles & Candle Making, Canvas Crafts, Card Making, Cartoons, Carving, Ceramics, Children's Crafts, Christmas Crafts, Clay, Clock Making, Cloth Crafts, Collectibles, Colonial Crafts, Country Crafts, Crazy Quilting, Crewel, Crocheting, Cross-Stitch, Curtain Making, Decorative Painting, Deco Art, Decoupage, Digital Art, Dolls & Doll Making, Dried Florals, Drawing/Sketching, Egg Art, Embroidery, Enameling, Etchings, Extreme Primitives, Fabrics, Fiber Arts, Floral Crafts, Folkart, Food Crafts, FREE crafts, Furniture Making, Gardens & Garden Crafts, General Arts & Crafts, Gift Making, Glass Art, Graphics, Handcrafted Items, Hats, Hobbies, Home Decor, Holiday Crafts, Homemade Lotions, Illustrations, Jewelry, Knitting, Lace & Lace Making, Lamp Making, Latch Hook, Leather Crafts, Macrame, Magnets, Mats, Metal Crafts, Miniatures, Mosaics, Musical Crafts, Muslin Crafts, Nautical Crafts, Native American Crafts, Needlepoint, Oragami, Painting, Paper Crafts, Papier Mache, Patterns & Pattern Creation, Patriotic Crafts, Pen & Ink Crafts, Penny Rugs, Pet Crafts, Pet Edibles (Homemade), Photography, Picture Frames, Pillows, Pins, Plastic Crafts, Pocketbooks, Poetry, Polymer Clay, Porcelain Crafts, Portraits, Potpourri, Pottery, Primitives, Printables, Prints, Punch Needle, Punched Tin, Quilling, Quilts & Quilting, Raffia, Ribbon Crafts, Rubber Stamping, Rug Hooking & Making, Rusty Tin Crafts, Santa's, Scale Models, Sculpey, Sculpture, Scrapbooking, Seasonal Crafts, Sewing, Shabby Chic, Silk Florals, Snowmen, Stamping, Stationary Design, Soap Making, Spinning, Stenciling, Stitchery, Stones, Teddy Bears, Textile Art, Tole Painting, TyeDying, Victorian Crafts, Videography, Wallpaper, Watercolors, Wearable Art, Weaving, Wedding Crafts, Wire Art, Wood Crafts, Woodland Crafts, Woodworking, Wreaths, Writing, Yard Crafts.

Also, if you have written a FREE article pertaining to resources for crafters, creating craft projects, craft instructions, wholesale crafts, craft books, craft magazines, craft promotion, craft business information, crafters, crafting, craft shows, craft software, craft supplies, or craft directories we'd love to post your FREE article, too.

Articles must be family-friendly and original copyrighted material and can include the author's byline and web address at the bottom of the article, only. Articles will be posted in their full entirety without any changes, including the author's byline and link.

DISCLAIMER: Linda Walsh and Linda Walsh Originals does not warrant and assume any legal responsibility or liability for the reprint use of any of the FREE articles in this blog. We do not warrant or assume any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any of the information or products represented on this blog and do not endorse or recommend anything. The views of the authors of the FREE articles are theirs and theirs alone. The FREE articles are being provided on this blog for information purposes only. Listing of a article on this website does not imply endorsement of the website, business, product, links or integrity of the web page to which the article leads. If you encounter a link on one of the articles that is objectionable and not family-friendly please notify me as soon as possible so that we can remove the article from this page.

I have many, many ideas of things that I'd like to add to my "I Love Crafts and Craft Blogs" and my new "The Best FREE Craft Articles" blog.

However, fair is fair. Equal attention does have to be paid to all parts of my business. And the rest of my business deserves their time. Especially the dolls. They have been quiet long enough and I'm starting to hear a low but strong "rumble" coming out of "The Dollie Storage Room." YIKES! That would not be good.

If I could just "clone" myself I'd have more time. That way everyone would get their fair share of attention.

Hmmm..... "Clone" myself. Might work. Hmmmm....

Nah! Even I don't believe I'd do that! Or, would I?

I've Got To Be Out Of My Mind!

You are going to think that I am definitely out of my mind.

    Why?

Believe it or not but I decided to start another blog.
Why would I do such a insane thing when I have so many blogs now.

Well, believe it or not but I had two very good reasons.

The first was that I was finding that I was writing a lot of articles for my Linda's Blog, posting answers to questions on the forums I belong to, or sending emails to other crafters with information on blogs and blogging.

So, I decided to separate the blog and blogging information and compile all that I've written so far into a blog all its' own. Wasn't that a good idea?

My new blog is called "Testing The Blogs Series and Helpful Blog Tips" blog.

My new blogs description is: My "Testing The Blogs Series and Helpful Blog Tips" blog is a compilation of all the articles I have written for my "Linda's Blog" on the various blog service providers and tips for crafters creating blogs. My series is intended as a tool for other small business crafters on the web to determine which blog service provider is best suited to their needs and to provide them with some helpful blogging tips.

It was created using the new Blogger.com Beta version which gets me to reason #2.

Since I was going to test the new Blogger.com Beta version of blogs for the "Testing The Blogs Series" that I've been running on my Linda's Blog I thought I might as well kill two birds with one stone and create the new blog there.

And, you thought I was going out of my mind.

    Well, maybe.

But, certainly not for creating yet another blog.

My New Tips For Crafters On The Web" Blog

I surely hope that I have not bitten off more than I can chew! Literally, that is. Why? Because "The Blogging Queen" has started yet ANOTHER NEW BLOG!

What? She's got to be out of her mind. She is. Or, .....I am.

So, what got into my head? Just a crazy notion overnight? Nope! Not really!

Believe it or not, but I've been mulling this one over for about a year now. That's right! For about a year.

So, Linda what's this blog about you might ask? Or, at least, I would hope you would ask.

Here's my rationale and my "Tips For Crafters On The Web" description: "Tips for Crafters on the Web" blog is my experience during the last year with setting up a small business website. I wish that when I was setting up my craft & design business that I had one source that I could go to for information. One source to at least point me in a direction. One source that could relate to my experience. One source with lists and tips, etc. This is my journal of the past year. I hope you find it helpful. I hope you find it to be your one source.

Why would I want to create a "Tips For Crafters On The Web" blog when I am not an expert on setting up small craft businesses on the web. Well, for a couple of reasons.

The first is born out of sheer frustration. I wish I had had one place to go on the web to tell me everything that I, as a crafter and pattern designer, would need to know. One place that had lists of websites for every subject, tips on where to look, and real experiences. One source, not five million.

The second reason is that I found all of the craft people that I dealt with to be so willing to help, so generous with their time and advice. I wanted to give back a little - to say thank-you. I thought by sharing my experiences during the last year that I might save another small business craft owner some time.

So, I am not an expert. I'm am a small business craft website owner who published my first website "Linda Walsh Originals" in July 2005 selling "Doll Patterns for Grown-up Girls." I now have over 30 different kinds of websites including my latest "Linda Walsh Originals Dolls" where I sell "Handmade Dolls & Crafts for Grown-up Girls."

"Tips for Crafters on the Web" blog is my journal. It's everything I have in my files. My "tips", my "lists", my "where to go", my "what to do next", my "how to do it notes", my "to do list." I thought I would relate all the experiences I have had during the last year. Hopefully, it may help some of you. I hope it does. I hope it saves you time and becomes your one source.

So, now you know why. I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew with this blog.

If you want to know what I might be covering just take a look at my post "So, Linda What Are Your Going To Cover?". It's a pretty ambitious undertaking I know and I may just regret it.

However, I've been collecting all my information for over a year. Before I clean house I thought I'd jot it all down in the hopes that it might benefit some of you.

    I hope it does.
